Portweaver consists of:

  • A website for identity, licensing, and documentation
  • A locally operated application for network management

2. Application Nature

Portweaver is designed as an on-premise system.

  • The Portweaver application runs locally on your infrastructure
  • It does not require continuous connectivity to our services
  • You are responsible for your own environment, configuration, and data

3. License Model

Portweaver is provided under a commercial license with multiple tiers, including:

  • Enterprise usage (paid licensing)
  • Home usage (free with limitations, including device count restrictions)

Specific licensing terms may be defined at the time of purchase or use.

4. License Restrictions (Important)

You may NOT:

  • Circumvent, bypass, or disable licensing mechanisms
  • Modify, patch, or interfere with license enforcement
  • Use the software beyond permitted device or usage limits
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the software without permission

Any attempt to bypass, circumvent, or undermine licensing mechanisms is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of access, license revocation, and/or potential legal action.

5. Accounts

Accounts are used for website access and licensing.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account security
  • All activity associated with your account

Authentication to the website is provided by a third-party provider, Clerk. See our privacy policy for more information.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the software for unlawful purposes
  • Interfere with or disrupt our services
  • Attempt to exploit or reverse engineer licensing systems

7. Payments

Where applicable:

  • Paid licenses are required for enterprise usage
  • Pricing and terms are defined at purchase
  • Refunds are handled at our discretion unless otherwise stated

8. Disclaimer

The software is provided “as is” without warranties.

We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted operation
  • error-free performance
  • compatibility with all environments

We are not responsible for the configuration, security, or operation of your network environment.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Data loss
  • Network disruption
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Use of the software is at your own risk.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to website services or licensing functionality for violations of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use indicates acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction in which the service is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
